this is the 13th label d!fus release, just after the terence parkers finally ep pressed on wax too. eedio was the first french artist signed on legendary bpitch control label during 2000s. many releases after that and a remix for agoria (kofea (eedio speaking remix) alongside the sky is clear (michael mayer remix)), eedio was on d!fus early hours with his elation (to feel) ep / d!fu 002 in 2007.
now it is time to maturity with a new ep called 43, including two very well known remixers, announcing a new lp to come in december.

rare strictly groove #01 is the first chap. of a series of 12 inches which include the best unreleased tracks from artists already in the labels roster and very close friends. this v/a open with *waltz to share* by avenir, a quite old track from the very superb catalogue of our favorite producer from palermo. modern and fresh deep house, enriched by the beautiful voice of clara and some precise arrangements of space sounds and more vocals. also we find two tracks by salvatore stallone, one of the artist is influencing more at this time, with his unique and amazing jazzy touch and incredible eclectism. *etes* and *brian off* are both very concrete underground pearls, inspired by masterpieces of the past. but the main theme of this release is dedicated to *the king* by daughters & sons. some expert house rhythms and groove with his name looped in an involving memory.

polymath james leyland kirby must surely have one of the most confounding cvs in the business: he spent years taking the piss out of the music industry with anthems rallying against the (vv)mcps, he notoriously fell out with various well known record labels for reasons you ll just have to google, goaded aphex twin with a series of tributes and channelled his love of everything from falco (rock me amadeus), chris de burgh, frankie goes to hollywood and stockport karaoke nights into a stream of increasingly bizzare 7 s back in the early noughties. but at the same time he was responsible for releasing some of the very earliest material from boards of canada (hell interface: 1997), made a ruck of frankly groundbreaking industrial electronic records, brought new beat to the worlds attention and, in 1999, made his first album as the caretaker, a project that would go on to release some of the most loved ambient/ lynchian albums of recent times.

in the 70s radio stations were a powerful force across the whole of the us, and anyone with a transistor radio had access all kinds of music. live music was another matter altogether, and unless you found yourself in a major city your nights out were limited to what the local talent had to offer. this was especially so with soul and funk acts, as mainstream rock and pop was where the money was. so for small time oklahoma soul bands such as husband and wife charles and barbara burtons groups messengers inc - and later burton inc - times were tough. however, like many purveyors of soul, tough times were no match for those with determination, persistence and a story to tell. many artists scraped enough money together to make a 45 or two on their own label, but the burtons took this to another level they got themselves organised and released their own full length lps.
